Make yourself comfortable and lean back
A real treat
in the Engelstube.
The cosiness is already in the name of our restaurant and runs through all the rooms. Come in, take a seat and send your taste buds on a journey of discovery. Your day of discovery begins with a gourmet buffet in the morning and ends with a gourmet menu in the evening, with little temptations in between. For house guests as part of half board, for external guests on request and by reservation.

Energy for a day of discovery.
When everyone in the house is still asleep, our kitchen already smells of fresh coffee and bread rolls. We jump out of bed early to sweeten your start to the day with a gourmet buffet every morning. Look forward to fresh sausage and cheese platters, a large selection of muesli and all kinds of savoury and sweet specialities.
Daily from 7:30 am to 10:00 am
A flavourful finale.
What ennobles a day on holiday more than a culinary highlight? Every day, Walter and his kitchen crew put together a fresh, seasonal, sometimes traditional, sometimes modern menu and let you choose between different main courses. You can also help yourself to the salad and cheese buffet, which is not only pleasing to the eye but also to the palate.
Daily from 6 pm (please arrive in the dining room by 7 pm at the latest)
Enjoy in between.
The sun terrace is the best place to be in the afternoon. We emphasise this with homemade cakes, fresh strudel and soft ice cream. Let the sun shine on your nose, sip a cup of coffee or a G'spritz and enjoy the afternoon. During the winter season, the afternoon snack, which is included in the half-board, awaits you here in fine weather.
Daily from 3 to 5 pm
Quite regional.
The ingredients travel as little as possible and every one of them is utilised optimally. The game is hunted and cut up ourselves, other meat comes from our trusted butcher. Just like the milk, cheese and sausage specialities for which the Bregenzerwald is famous. It's easy to cook regional and seasonal specialities here.
Yoghurt from the Kohler farm in Au
Meat and sausage from the Feuerstein butcher's shop
Cheese from alpine dairies in the region via the ‘Kulinarium Metzler’ in Mellau
Egger beer from the Egger brewery in Egg
Wine from the Bregenzer wine merchant and the Hornstein winery
Schnapps from the schnapps distillery Prinz Hörbranz
Coffee from Amann Kaffee in Schwarzenberg
